Click the MemoryPlugin button in the chat composer (or the Add Memories pill above the floating button) before you send your first message. That one click pastes your memories and the saving instructions into the chat.
The extension does not inject memories on its own by default. Until you activate a chat, the AI cannot read your memories or save new ones in that conversation.

Steps

1

Pick a bucket

Open the panel with the floating MemoryPlugin button and choose a bucket from the dropdown (it defaults to All Memories). The AI gets the memories from whichever bucket is selected.
2

Activate the chat

Click the quick inject button inline in the composer (tooltip: “Inject Memories from chosen Bucket”). On platforms where the inline button doesn’t fit, click the glass Add Memories pill above the floating button instead.
3

Send your message

Your memories plus instructions for saving new ones are now part of the conversation. From here the AI knows you.

What actually gets added

Activation pastes two things into the composer:
  1. Your memories from the chosen bucket.
  2. Instructions telling the AI what MemoryPlugin is and how to save new memories.

Skip the manual click

Turn on Automatically add memories in new conversations in the extension’s Settings tab. See How do I add memories to new chats automatically?
